What Are White Fillings?
Composite dental fillings are minimally invasive to teeth and bond directly to your enamel. Available in a variety of shades, we can select one that closely matches the natural colour of your teeth. They are mercury-free and more conservative in size than conventional silver fillings.
The Importance Of Early Treatment
Untreated tooth decay can continue to spread deeper into the tooth for as long as it’s left alone. Unless it’s intercepted early, more aggressive tooth damage will occur. Placing a small filling today can eliminate the need for something more complex — like a root canal or crown — several months down the road.
What To Expect?
Getting a dental filling is a fairly straightforward process. First, we’ll gently numb the tooth so that you’ll only feel a bit of pressure. Next, the decay is cleaned out. Then Dr Chung matches the composite to your tooth and shapes it into the void, filling in the open space and restoring the shape of the tooth. Once your filling is cured, it blends in with the natural colour of your smile.
